Katie has been working in the field of speech pathology for seven years and graduated with an MS in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. Prior to joining Mobile PT, she worked in the school system, which she still continues to do. Katie enjoys working with the senior population because their life stories are incredibly colorful and they’re often grateful for company. Katie finds it most rewarding when she can aid individuals and caregivers in successfully using alternative modes of communication. Katie considers it a win when she sees someone receive communication options beyond their voice and when she is able to guide an individual from a feeding tube back to a regular diet. Who doesn’t like to eat, right?! When not working, Katie enjoys being outdoors with her family.
