Is your loved one isolated?  Have they fallen?  Are you concerned they are not moving enough while in isolation?  Let our Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) help via “House Calls” during these difficult times.

Physical Activity has proven to decrease fall risk, strengthen the immune system and increase overall wellness in older adults.  Yet, many seniors are not safe to perform the activities alone or perform the exercised safely without assistance.  Therapists are trained to consider the patients’ health issues and meet the patients goals accordingly.

Covid-19 has forced all of us to become less active and therefore, susceptible to functional decline but seniors will be affected more than most people.

Safety of our patients and staff is most important. Therefore, our practice has implemented policies consistent with the Center for Disease Control.

Precautionary recommendations from CDC including:

  • Exercising universal precautions
  • Use of masks, gloves and disposable gowns
  • Therapists take their temperature before entering the patient’s home
  • Thorough hand washing / use of hand sanitizer
  • Thoroughly disinfecting equipment between patients

We will continue to monitor this quickly–evolving situation and work in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Departments of Public Health to ensure the safety of our colleagues, patients, and business partners.
