Meet Dan & Melissa — Founders of Mobile PT

Dan’s Vision Behind Mobile PT

In 2015, Dan Sheehy, Physical Therapy, and his wife Melissa Renaud-Sheehy launched Mobile PT to bring high-quality, compassionate therapy directly into seniors’ homes. Dan spent years working in skilled nursing facilities and saw a clear pattern: many hospitalizations could have been prevented if seniors received the right therapy and support at home. He noticed that patients made faster, more meaningful progress when therapy happened in their own environments — their hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, and daily routines.

This sparked Dan’s vision: help seniors stay out of the hospital and remain safe, strong, and independent at home by integrating therapy into everyday life. This vision became the foundation of Mobile PT.

Melissa’s Heart Behind Mobile PT

Melissa previously built a career in marketing and technology. But after supporting Dan in the early years of Mobile PT — and witnessing the life-changing impact of in-home therapy — she knew her purpose was bigger than corporate work. In 2019, she joined Mobile PT full-time.

Melissa brings a deep commitment to serving families, building a company rooted in compassion, and ensuring that every senior receives the time, respect, and personalized care they deserve. She is the driving force behind Mobile PT’s patient-centered culture, operational excellence, and warm, local reputation.
