Shannon Nakatsu

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Born and raised in Hawaii, Shannon brings relaxed and easygoing energy to every session—something his patients often say makes therapy more enjoyable. His path to physical therapy began after his dad ruptured his Achilles while playing tennis. Watching his dad go through rehab, making a full return to the court, inspired Shannon to pursue this field. He always credited his recovery to the skill and support of his PT team. Shannon is proud to be able to offer that same level of care to others.

Shannon earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Oregon State University in 2016 and completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in 2023. His aim to create a supportive, lighthearted environment while still pushing patients toward real progress—whether working on mobility, strength, or just learning to laugh through the tough reps.

Outside the clinic, Shannon is an avid tennis player with a 4.0 USTA ranking, though lately he has been getting into pickleball. On the weekends, you’ll usually find him exploring parks and trails with his golden retriever, Max.
